劇情大綱:
真人真事改編，敘述一個因為想要幫助別人而成為醫生的Patch Adams，在進入醫學院後，試著用他獨特的方式來醫治病人 – 幽默。但在十分傳統與保守的醫界，他的做法卻被視為胡鬧，甚至是在挑戰醫生的權威。原本沒有一個人認同Patch，但在看到病人因為他的做法而的確狀況得到改善之後，越來越多的同學以及學校裡的人開始支持，甚至加入他的行列。
